As South Carolina's next Commissioner of Agriculture, Cody Simpson commits to advocating for our farmers for:

1. Reducing Regulatory Burdens on Farmers and Agribusiness

As a fifth-generation farmer, Cody knows that South Carolina farmers spend too much time dealing with burdensome regulations. Cody understands that streamlining rules will allow farmers to focus on producing food and growing their businesses.

2. Reforming Liability Laws to Protect Producers

Farmers and rural businesses shouldn’t face crippling lawsuits for doing their jobs. Cody knows that fair liability laws will provide necessary protection while maintaining accountability.

3. Lowering Taxes to Strengthen Rural Economies

A lifelong conservative, Cody is a firm believer that reducing taxes on farms, land, and agricultural businesses helps keep farms in operation and supports job creation across rural South Carolina. Cody will always be a strong voice for lower taxes.
