CODY'S COMMITTMENT

CODY'S COMMITTMENT

As South Carolina's next Commissioner of Agriculture, Cody Simpson commits to advocating for our hospitality industry for:

1. Cutting Red-Tape for Local Food

As a fifth-generation farmer, Cody knows that there is a need to cut the burdensome regulations that make it harder for local farmers and restaurants to do business. Cody understands that less bureaucracy means more fresh, South Carolina food on our tables in both homes and restaurants.

2. Protecting Farmers and Small Businesses from Excessive Lawsuits

Reasonable liability reform will protect farmers, food producers, and restaurants from frivolous lawsuits, while still keeping consumers safe.

3. Lowering Taxes

A lifelong conservative, Cody is a firm believer that reducing taxes on farms, food producers, and local food businesses will help keep South Carolina businesses profitable and strengthen our economy.
